Gjimshiti has had a tempting offer from a club in Qatar for weeks, which offers him a much higher salary than what he receives at Atalanta. But in the ranks of the black and blues, he is an undisputed starter even with the departure of coach Gasperini, while the club plans to offer the 32-year-old a contract renewal if he does not leave.
The fact that Gjimshiti was one of the first three to appear at the Atalanta clinic to undergo the usual medical tests before the start of training for the new season leads one to think that his decision is to stay with this team. At least for another season where he will be undisputed in Serie A and the Champions League in the ranks of his club.
