One of the sons of "El Pibe" has his hands full when it comes to finding the guilty doctors. " They gave him some medicine and they knew he was going to die," Diego Maradona Jr. tells the TV program "Y Ahora Sonsoles."
And he continued: " If the doctors had done things the right way, I wouldn't be here in this chair, it would be him, because he would be alive. My father was killed. I believe that many strange things have happened since he left. We realized, for example, that a lot of money had been stolen from him and sometimes we couldn't find anything in the house ."
Diego Armando Maradona died at the age of 60 on November 25, 2020, the victim of a cardiorespiratory arrest at home while he was sleeping. Believing it was a medical error, the family of the former Argentine star sued the team that monitored Maradona's health for negligence.
An investigation launched in 2021 concluded that the medical team had acted in an "improper, disproportionate and reckless" manner.
