Several of the matches of week 22 in the Bundesliga have been completed, with Bayern Munich continuing their march to the top of the standings, while Hoffenheim and Leverkusen secured important victories in their seasonal objectives.
Bayern Munich did the job on the road, defeating Werder Bremen 0-3. The Bavarian team solved everything in the first half thanks to two goals from Harry Kane. The English striker scored first from the penalty spot and then doubled his lead with a powerful shot from distance.
In the 70th minute, Leon Gorecka scored the third goal, sealing the champions' victory and finally closing the score of the match.
With this success, Bayern restores the gap to six points from second place, held by Borussia Dortmund. The Yellow and Blacks had won the night before with a deep 4-0 score against Mainz.
Hoffenheim returned to winning ways in the league, beating Freiburg 3-0 at home. The match was broken early in the second half by Fisnik Asllani. The Kosovo striker scored his seventh goal of the season, as well as his first in the Bundesliga.
Ozan Kabak doubled the score for the home team, while in extra time, newly-promoted Gendrei scored the third goal, sealing the 3-0 victory.
With this triumph, Hoffenheim climbs to third place with 45 points.
Bayer Leverkusen also recorded an important victory, defeating St. Pauli 4-0 at the “BayArena”. The “Aspirin” climb to 39 points, the same as Leipzig and Stuttgart, but with a better goal difference.
However, Leipzig and Stuttgart have not yet played their match of the 22nd week.
