
Galatasaray has taken an important step towards qualifying for the next round of the Champions League, after defeating Juventus with a deep score of 5-2 in a match full of pace and emotions.
The challenge was unlocked in the 15th minute, after a throw-in for Juventus. After a lost ball in the black and white area by Kenan Yildiz, Gabriel Sara took advantage and scored with a beautiful left-footed shot, giving the home team the lead.
The reaction of the team led by Luciano Spalletti was immediate. In the first action after the goal, Andrea Cambiaso crossed into the area for Pier Kalulu. The Frenchman's header was stopped by goalkeeper Çakir, but Teun Kupmeiners, well positioned, pushed the ball into the net for a 1-1 draw.
In the 32nd minute, Kupmeiners scored his second personal goal and turned the score to 1-2, after a combination with Weston McKennie and a precise finish with the left foot from inside the area.

This was the Dutchman's first goal in the Galatasaray shirt, after his loan transfer from Napoli during the January transfer window.
In the 60th minute, Gallata took the lead through Davinson Sanchez. The Colombian defender took advantage of a free kick taken by Gabriel Sara and with a precise touch beat goalkeeper Di Gregorio.
The situation for Juventus worsened in the 67th minute, when Juan Cabal received a second yellow card for a challenge on Yılmaz, leaving the team with one man less.
The numerical advantage was exploited by the home team. In the 74th minute, after a defensive error by Lloyd Kelly and pressure from Victor Osimhen, Noa Lang scored his second personal goal and the fourth for Galatasaray.
The fifth goal came in the 86th minute, when Sasha Boei, newly introduced to the field, took advantage of another uncertainty in the Juventus defense and scored his first goal in the Turkish club's shirt.
With this 5-2 victory, Galatasaray secures a significant advantage ahead of the return leg, which will take place on February 25. Juventus needs a tough upset to keep their hopes of qualifying alive.
