Armando Broja is looking at things more positively after scoring his first goal for Burnley, which helped them earn a draw against Bournemouth. The striker, in an interview with the club's media, has assessed that he and the team have the desire and hunger to aim for survival in the top flight.
" Bournemouth are a very good team, we know that. They are very difficult to face. We have seen some of their results this season, they are always competitive even against big teams. So they are definitely a difficult team and for us it was a difficult match.
But like I said, getting a point, which is good after 7 losses, is a good feeling for us as a group because it's something we can build on. We almost forgot how it feels but it was a fantastic feeling to get a point and see money as a group. Definitely a fantastic feeling for me, but the whole team was happy too, everyone was involved. So maybe the performance wasn't the best we had, but in terms of the result, it was good for us to build on it and create a run.
We have had a lot of determination in all the games we have played, not just in this game. It was the away game against Manchester United where we lost by a goal difference, the home game against Liverpool where we lost by a late goal. There have been a few games. Even with Fulham we lost by a goal and you could see that we were competitive, we had the quality, the desire, the hunger, the unity to stay in the Premier League.
"As a team, as a group, with the boys every day, I can see it in everyone, everyone wants to survive. This is the best championship and obviously we all want to be part of this championship and play. So as I said, we will fight in every match that we have the opportunity. And I hope that now, after this draw and this point, we can build continuity. We have seen how quickly things change and we will stay united, hoping to change things ," Broja said in his statement.
