David Beckham has officially become the first British sportsman to achieve billionaire status, according to the ranking published by the "Sunday Times Rich List 2026".
The combined fortune of Beckham and his wife, stylist and former Spice Girls member Victoria Beckham, is estimated at around 1.185 billion pounds, or approximately 1.36 billion euros.
The couple is ranked among the richest showbiz and sports figures in the United Kingdom, while in the category of sports-related personalities they hold second place after the family of former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, whose wealth is estimated at around 2 billion pounds.
Much of Beckham's financial success has come after his playing career ended. The former Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan and PSG star has built a business empire through sponsorship deals with international brands such as Adidas and Hugo Boss.
Another significant source of income is the American club Inter Miami, of which Beckham is a co-owner. The club is currently considered one of the most valuable in Major League Soccer, with a reported value of around $1.45 billion.
The publication of the new Sunday Times list has turned Beckham into one of the most successful British figures not only in sports, but also in the world of business and global marketing.
