Manuel Neuer will continue to defend Bayern Munich's goal for another two years. The Bavarian club has officially renewed the contract with the German goalkeeper until 2027, ending speculation that this could be his last season in active football.

The 40-year-old has won everything with Bayern during more than a decade in Munich. This season he has played in 36 matches in all competitions, while keeping 11 clean sheets. In the league alone, Neuer has made 21 appearances.

After signing the new contract, the German goalkeeper expressed his happiness about the decision made.
" I am extremely happy. It took me a while to decide because I didn't want to rush. It was a very important decision for me, but also for the club and our team. Now I am convinced that this is the right decision ," Neuer declared.
