Drama in Formula 1/ Norris and Verstappen make an "own goal", Russell triumphs!

The Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring circuit had it all, drama, action, joy and heartache. The race was won by Mercedes' George Russell, thanks to a dramatic incident between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris who collided with seven laps to go for the lead.

That paved the way for Russell to take the lead and full points in a race that had been dominated by Verstappen in free and sprint practice. On the podium Oscar Piastri with McLaren and Carlos Sainz with Ferrari.

At a bend the two cars collided, damaging the tires and forcing them to return to the garage to change them. Norris never returned to the track, as Verstappen finished the race in fifth place. In front of them was Lewis Hamilton with Mercedes (fourth), while Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) was classified in 11th place.
