Egnatia has once again confirmed its dominance in Albanian football, being declared the champion of the Superiore for the 2025-2026 season. The team from Rrogozhina triumphed with a score of 2-0 against Dinamo Tirana in the final of the “Final Four” phase, held tonight at the “Air Albania” stadium, lifting the most important trophy of Albanian football for the third consecutive year.
This success constitutes a historic moment for the club, which manages to win the championship title for the third consecutive season, sealing a period of undisputed dominance in the Albanian football elite.
The hero of the final was Italian midfielder Alessandro Albanese, who scored both goals in the first half. He first put Egnatia ahead in the 29th minute from the penalty spot after a dangerous move in the opposition's area. Just ten minutes later, in the 39th minute, Albanese struck again, doubling the lead and giving his team a clear lead towards the championship title.
Egnatia appeared more organized and demanding throughout the match, controlling the pace of the game and limiting Dinamo's opportunities to react. The team, led with calm and tactical discipline, managed the advantage in the second half, without leaving the opponent any space to get back into the game.
On the other hand, Dinamo Tirana, which had developed a positive season and had reached the grand final with claims, failed to show its potential in the decisive challenge, being forced to settle for second place.
Meanwhile, in the other match of the "Final Four" phase, AF Elbasani secured second place in the final standings after defeating Vllaznia with a score of 2-1.
Shkodran took the lead early in the second half thanks to Bekim Balaj's goal, which opened the scoring and gave his team hope. However, Elbasan's reaction was immediate. Just three minutes later, Lajthia restored the balance, giving momentum to the yellow-blue team.
Elbasan's constant pressure was rewarded in the 64th minute, when Ibrahimi scored the winning goal, sealing his team's success. In the remaining minutes, Vllaznia tried to get back into the game, but Elbasan's defense held out until the referee's final whistle.
With this victory, AF Elbasani ends their adventure in the “Final Four” in second place, while Vllaznia ranks third. The evening at “Air Albania” belonged, however, to Egnatia, which celebrated another golden page in the club’s history, confirming its status as the dominant force in Albanian football in recent years./ Pamphlet
