Then came the confirmation from Ferrari through a post on social networks.

" The Ferrari team is pleased to announce that Luis Hamilton will join the team in 2025 on a multi-year contract ," read the announcement formalizing the deal.

Hamilton has been with Mercedes since 2013 and has won six of his seven world championships with the team. However, since 2022, their car has been far off the pace of the dominant Red Bull and he has been unable to challenge for the title. He has made his disappointment with their performance clear.
