FIFA threatens to exclude from all its competitions the national "Seleçao" and all Brazilian clubs.
The reason is the decision of the Court of Rio de Janeiro to dismiss Ednaldo Rodríguez from the position of president of the Football Federation (CBF), for irregularities during his election in 2022 (new elections must be held within 30 days).
According to "AP", during the last few hours FIFA and Conmebol (football government in Latin America) have sent a letter to the Brazilian Football Federation and the Spanish newspaper "Marca" has published several lines of this letter.
" The national federations that are part of FIFA must manage their affairs independently and without influence from third parties. If the CBF were to be suspended by the competent bodies of FIFA, it would lose its rights (participation in competitions) immediately, until a second decision. This means that the CBF, its representative teams and all its clubs will not be eligible to participate in any competition during the suspension period ," the letter reads.
