The FIFA Disciplinary Commission sanctions the former player and the current president of the Cameroon Federation. Samuel Eto'o will not be able to attend Cameroon matches, whose federation he leads, for the next six months for breaching the rules of conduct during the last U-20 Women's World Cup, where his team faced with Brazil in the round of 16.
The sanction is specifically related to the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup 16th match between Brazil and Cameroon played on September 11 in Bogota (Colombia). The sanction will prevent him from participating in FECAFOOT men's and women's team matches of any category or age group.
Eto'o was already in the eye of the storm for his behavior with the players and the coach of the national team, Marc Brys, whom he threatened in front of the cameras if he did not stick to what he dictated. During the World Cup in Qatar, the former Real Madrid, Mallorca and Barcelona player also made headlines for attacking a fan who filmed him after a match outside the stadium.
