Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is reportedly at risk of being jailed on his next visit to Switzerland for failing to pay a fine.
The news comes amid reports that City are ready to offer the Norwegian a new contract that will make him the highest paid player in the Premier League.
According to the Swiss newspaper "Blick", Erling Haland's name appeared on the "official notice sheet" of the canton of Vaud on October 25.
In the paper, it was revealed that the Manchester City striker has been fined 60 francs, around 65 euros, which he has yet to pay for an undisclosed offence.
While the fine is only a small amount, the aforementioned source reported that if Haland does not voluntarily pay the fine, he risks serving a day in jail on his next visit to Switzerland.
However, the chances of Erling Haland receiving a one-day jail sentence in Switzerland are low, as the amount of the fine is insignificant.
