Turkish media have recently dropped a bombshell regarding Granit Xhaka's future. According to reports from Sabah Spor, the midfielder of Albanian origin is open to a transfer to Besiktas in the Turkish Super League.
Although Xhaka is under contract with Sunderland until the summer of 2028, his departure is not ruled out. The footballer put in a very good performance in the match against Manchester United, where he was rated 8.6 by “Flashscore”, resulting in being among the best on the field for the “Black Cats”.
According to reports, Besiktas is considering the possibility of starting negotiations, but initially requires the approval of coach Sergen Yalçın to advance the operation.
If the transfer is completed, the Turkish championship could bring another interesting duel between Albanian footballers, with Granit Xhaka at Besiktas and Ernest Muçi at Trabzonspor.
