The president of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, has fallen prey to a threat from five people, one of whom is the president of the Iliria e Fushë-Kruja team, Nazmi Selmani.
Citizens Redian Loci, Petrit Selmani, Brajan Selmani, Santiago Selmani and Nazmi Selmani were put in handcuffs. One of those arrested, Nazmi Selmani, is the president of the football club, Iliria.
It is known that at around 21:30 yesterday evening, the citizens in question threatened Armand Duka by means of a telephone message and then at around 22:30, they went to his apartment, with the aim of threatening him.
Police notification:
They threatened the 62-year-old man with text messages because of his duty, the police arrested and handcuffed 5 citizens and prosecuted two others.
Crime investigation specialists at the Durrës Police Station arrested the citizens in flagrante delicto:
RL, 30 years old, SP, 26 years old, BS, 20 years old, SS, 22 years old, and NS, 57 years old, all residents of Kruja.
Citizens AS, 24 years old and AS, 39 years old, both residents of Kruja, were also processed in a free state.
Their arrest and prosecution took place after: On 30.08.2024, around 9:30 p.m., they threatened citizen AD, 62 years old, resident of Durrës, through a phone message because of his duty, and then around 10:30 p.m. , they went to his apartment, with the aim of threatening him.
After receiving the notification, the Police services organized the work, locating, capturing and escorting the suspected persons to the Police Station.
At the end of the first investigative actions, five citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto and two others were released.
The materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës for the criminal offense "Intimidation due to duty" committed in cooperation.'
