England has officially announced the jerseys that the national team will use in the 2026 World Cup matches.
The FA has chosen a clean and classic design after the negative reactions to the Euro 2024 jersey. The "Three Lions" jersey stays true to tradition.
The design includes a lion surrounded by stars, while red details complement a dark blue trim around the neck and sleeves, reminiscent of the Euro 2020 uniform.

The inside of the collar reads: "Joyful and Glorious", part of the national anthem, adding a subtle nod to England's heritage. The simple design is seen as a move to avoid the controversy surrounding the Euro 2024 kit, which many fans criticised for changing the colours of the St George's flag.
Even Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer urged the FA and Nike to stick with the traditional colours, although the manufacturers refused. The backlash caused shirt sales to suddenly drop, overtaking home jersey sales for the first time.

For the 2026 World Cup, England's away kit will return to its traditional red, leaving behind the purple-navy look despite strong sales. While the away kit has not yet been officially revealed or released, it is expected to follow a similar safe and classic style to the home kit.
