
Poland will face Albania on March 26 in the semi-final of the World Cup play-offs. Ahead of this crucial match, the Polish Football Federation (PZPN) has decided to motivate players with a significant financial bonus in case of qualification.
According to journalist Mateusz Ligęza from Radio ZET, the Polish national team players will receive around $4.2 million if the team manages to secure participation in the World Cup. The amount represents approximately 40% of the $10.5 million that FIFA guarantees to each team participating in the group stage of the tournament.
" If Poland goes to the World Cup, the national team players will receive a very large bonus from the Polish Football Federation – about 40% of the $10.5 million that FIFA will pay to the group stage participants ," Ligęza wrote on his profile on the X platform.
If they manage to defeat Albania, Poland will face the winner of the Ukraine-Sweden match in the play-off final to secure a place in the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Poland coach Jan Urban is expected to announce the list of players assembled for the match against Albania on March 20.
