The situation at Lazio is becoming increasingly complicated, both in sporting and institutional terms. The relationship between coach Maurizio Sarri and president Claudio Lotito seems to be at its lowest point, while tensions within the club have increased significantly.
Disappointing results and a ninth-place finish in Serie A have shaken Sarri's bench. Although there was a recent meeting between the parties to calm the situation, the confrontation has not brought about any concrete changes in the relationship between the coach and the club's management.
Sarri is facing great difficulties in managing the team, as he has not had any influence in the transfer market due to the market blockage and internal decisions of the club. In this tense climate, important departures from the team are not ruled out. Sarri's future remains unclear, the Italian coach has even considered resigning, but does not want to abandon Lazio at such a delicate moment.
On the other hand, president Lotito is hesitant to take the decision to dismiss, as such an action would cost the club around 12 million euros. For the moment, Lazio remains at a crossroads, with the coming days expected to be decisive for the fate of the coach and the season.
