Liverpool has managed to qualify for the round of 16, in the FA Cup, after beating Arsenal 0-2 in a 90-minute match that could be described as a 'chess game'. Liverpool took full advantage of Arsenal's chronic waste.
The first half saw the superior London team. Arsenal dominated in possession, possession and shots on goal with 5 of them, compared to 0 shots on target by Klopp's side. The first 45 minutes ended with the result 0-0 and with a non-existent Liverpool.
The second half started at the same pace and it took a mistake from the Arsenal players to unlock the score. Arnold's 80th-minute free-kick, just wide of the corner flag, took a deflection off the Kiwior, who sent the ball into his own net to give Liverpool the lead.
In the remaining minutes, Arsenal did everything they could to equalize the score to postpone the game, but their scheme was not so efficient as in the 95th minute, Liverpool scored Diaz's second, thus closing it with the score 2-0 in the match of the 32nd round of the FA Cup. This 0-2 win sends the 14-time winners into the next round for the fourth consecutive season.
