An English fan today told of a brief but warm meeting with Albanian national team striker Myrto Uzuni, who wears the number 11 jersey. According to his post, the conversation lasted about ten minutes and left a very positive impression.
Uzuni, described as a "brilliant guy", expressed his happiness over Albania's qualification for the World Cup qualifiers, while he was also humorous about the possibility of a draw with Scotland. The fan says that Uzuni was enthusiastic when he heard his story:
" He had followed all the qualifying matches, including the ones against Serbia, which he spoke about with passion. He was very pleased that we destroyed Serbia 5-0 away and 2-0 at home," the fan said, adding with humor that he had told Uzun that he had been present at both matches.
However, at the end of the conversation there was still a bit of mixed feeling: I felt a little sorry for him, even though I knew they would be defeated tomorrow in their new stadium ,” he said.
