Chelsea and Barcelona appear to be in the running for River Plate right-winger Ian Subiabre, reports Soy del Millo.
The 18-year-old Argentine's contract runs until December 31, 2026, but the parties have yet to reach an agreement on its extension. As a result, Ian was left out of the starting lineup against Atletico Tucuman and will also not be included in the squad for the match against Palmeiras.
River Plate's management is still trying to reach an agreement with the player. One of the main obstacles is a €100 million release clause that the club wants to include in the deal.
Last season, Subiabre scored 1 goal and provided 1 assist in 15 matches with the club.
