The race for the Serie A title is still alive after AC Milan managed to win the second leg of the Derby della Madonnina for the first time since the 2010/11 season. At San Siro, in front of 75,627 fans who created an incredible atmosphere, AC Milan won the Derby della Madonnina against Inter with a score of 1-0.
The only goal of the match came in the 35th minute: Youssouf Fofana accurately fed Pervis Estupiñán inside the area, and with a powerful left-footed shot, he sent the ball into the top left corner, the Inter goalkeeper was left without an answer.
Inter tried to come back in the second half with a flurry of substitutions, Denzel Dumfries, Davide Frattesi, Andy Diouf and others coming on to freshen up the attack, but Mike Maignan was invincible in Milan's goal. He stopped several dangerous chances, including Piotr Zielinski's powerful shot and Federico Dimarco's long-range effort.
Milan on the other hand brought in Niclas Füllkrug, Samuele Ricci and Christopher Nkunku to defend the score, while Rafael Leão and Youssouf Fofana had some good chances but failed to double the score.
In the final minutes, Inter tried everything, but the result remained unchanged until the end, with Milan taking three valuable points and narrowing the gap to the leading 'ziklatri'.
With this victory, Inter is in first place with 67 points, followed by second-place Milan with 60 points.
