He is young, but one of the pillars of the team. Strahinja Pavlović represents the present and future of the Serbian national team, while his attention is focused, in addition to the season with Milan, also on the World Cup qualifiers.
The Balkan representative team will start this edition in Albania against the Rossoneri, the first challenge since the unforgettable ones in 2014 and 2015, in the European Championship qualifiers.
The 23-year-old center back commented on the duel at the "National Arena" in Tirana on June 7, in an interview with Belgrade's main sports daily, "Sportski Zhurnal", and was both appreciative and optimistic.
" The first away game is very important. It won't be easy at all. No one has beaten Albania in the European Championship, nor in the qualifiers. Albania plays very well, but we can win and gain a lead after the first game ."
In the same interview, Pavlović states that the Serbian national team has the potential to challenge the favorites of our group, England, to secure direct qualification for the World Cup.
As proof, he recalls the group match in the European Championship finals in Germany, where the "Three Lions" won 1-0, but Serbia played better in the second half.
