Shakira and Burna Boy have released the music video for the song "Dai Dai," which is the official anthem of the 2026 World Cup, and features appearances from famous footballers such as Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe. The music video for the song "Dai Dai" was released on Saturday, May 23, a few days after the song was released as the official anthem of the 2026 World Cup.
The clip features big names in world football, including Lionel Messi, Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe, Rodri, Vinicius Junior, Takefusa Kubo, Santiago Jimenez, Erling Haaland, Luis Diaz, Alphonso Davies, Jamal Musiala and Christian Pulisic.
The video also features the participation of Ghetto Kids Uganda, a non-governmental organization that supports orphaned and vulnerable children through music, dance, and theater, providing them with education, shelter, and medical care.
In one of the scenes in the clip, Shakira appears atop the “Angel of Independence” monument in Mexico City, in a tribute to the country that has played an important role in her career. At the same time, it has already been announced that the singer will participate in the first official half-time show ever held at a World Cup final, along with Madonna and BTS, on July 19, 2026.
This is the second time Shakira has performed the World Cup anthem, after "Waka Waka", which was associated with the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
