A big scandal shakes Serbian football. UEFA has notified the Serbian Football Federation if the match of the First League of Serbia between Tekstilac and Mladost GAT, which ended 1:2, was allegedly rigged, reports Sport Club.
The Football Federation of Serbia has launched an investigation and according to the European House of Football, a large number of payments for the victory of the friendly team have been noticed before the start of the match. And in the end it turned out that way. Mladost GAT won with the numbers 1:2 and the match became doubtful immediately.
According to the information of Sport Club, the case for this match should have been officially opened on Thursday afternoon, while in the first phase it was led by Bogdan Gjurgjevic, who has been the FSS integrity officer since June of last year. After his analysis, everything has reached the Disciplinary and Ethical Commission and the final decision in the first instance is expected in ten days.
According to information from Sport Club, the investigation will mainly involve the players of Tekstilac and the club from Odzak is threatened with a financial penalty, or with the removal of points from six to 15 points, as the first information from UEFA predicts.
As for the match itself, it was played on April 8 and Mladost GAT took a 0-2 lead with goals from Dragan Kokanovic in the 48th minute and Miljan Vukadinovic in the 56th minute, before Ivan Davidovic scored the late goal that took them the figures of the final meeting at 1:2.
