FIFA has today made official the schedules and stadiums for the 2026 World Cup matches, showing how the challenges of this event will be distributed. And among them, of course, Group F, where Albania could potentially be part if it passes the "play-offs".
As expected, the match schedules will not be at all suitable for Europe. The schedules published by FIFA are all set in local Eastern American time, which means they have a 6-hour difference with Central Europe and our country.
Thus, potentially Albania's first match, against Tunisia, will be played in Monterrey, Mexico at 10:00 PM Eastern Time on June 14, which means it will be 4 AM in our country on June 15!
The second match, scheduled for June 20 against the Netherlands, is played in Houston at 1:00 PM in the US and in theory is the one that can be followed more practically since the match in Houston coincides with 7:00 PM in Europe.
Meanwhile, the third match, against Japan, to be played in Dallas, has been scheduled again at an inconvenient time for Europe. It is scheduled for June 25 at 7:00 PM in the US, which corresponds to 1:00 AM on June 26 in Europe.
