Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was delighted with their emphatic 4-0 away win over Brighton on Thursday night.
City took an easy win at Brighton thanks to two goals from Kevin de Bruyne and one each from Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez.
"I give a lot of credit because I know the opponent we are facing. Brighton have been struggling with a lot of absences this season. Although they still play bravely and never give up, they will continue to do so," Guardiola said initially.
"But it's a good result for us, very good. We scored four goals, that's the key. We spoke as a team that if we didn't have the ball we would suffer. The players did very well. I said before, what we have done in the past does not mean we will do it in the future. With five games left, we know the margins are very tight. We have to win every game. Every match we are closer".
Asked if the title is now fought only between Manchester City and Arsenal, the coach also added Liverpool.
"Its not. What happened to Liverpool, two defeats in a row, can happen to Arsenal, can happen to us. What is important is that we are still there. There are many games to play", concluded the City coach.
