According to Spanish daily Marca, the two players have clashed for the second day in a row. The latest incident is believed to have occurred during Thursday's training session, following tension that had begun before the team entered the pitch.
Sources close to the club say the situation escalated when Federico Valverde refused to shake hands with teammate Aurelien Çuaméni. The argument then continued in the dressing room, where it is reported that there was physical contact.
During the collision, Valverde received an accidental blow, which is not believed to have been directly caused by the French midfielder. However, the Uruguayan suffered an injury that required medical intervention and transport to hospital.
The incident has alarmed the Madrid club's management. According to reports, the management held an emergency meeting with the players and general director José Ángel Sánchez in attendance. Real Madrid has also initiated disciplinary proceedings against the two players.
