FIFA has officially introduced the Technical Study Group for the 2026 World Cup, a team made up of renowned figures from world football that will follow and analyze in real time the 104 matches of the world's biggest football tournament.

The group will be led by Arsene Wenger, the legendary former Arsenal manager and current head of global football development at FIFA. Among the names selected are Jurgen Klinsmann, Gilberto Silva, Jon Dahl Tomasson, and the Albanian national team's assistant coach, Pablo Zabaleta.

According to FIFA, fans will be able to follow modern analysis, advanced statistics and real-time tactical information during every World Cup match. The organization will use advanced technology that combines technical expertise with data analysis.

The group's experts will have access to six different video angles and thousands of data points for each challenge, with the aim of analysing every aspect of the game. The project aims to identify the latest trends in modern football and contribute to the development of future generations of footballers and coaches.

The 2026 World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
