Today, 12 years after Sokol Olldashin...
It was almost the same weather as today. It was raining and the road was slippery. Sokol Olldashi was returning from Elbasan, but at the entrance to Tirana his car ended up off the road and the former minister, former MP and candidate for the leadership of the Democratic Party of Albania passed away.
Today marks 12 years since the death of politician, poet and journalist Olldashi, who was an inspiration to many of us journalists and the new generation of politicians. He passed away in a tragic accident, an accident that carries many mysteries and question marks within.
There are rumors that they eliminated him, others that it was just an accident. The family members themselves have always remembered this date with sadness and even they themselves are unclear about why Sokol Olldashi died. For anyone who remembers November 20, 2013, there was a lot of cacophony of information, the data changed from time to time. Even about the autopsy there were many doubts and dilemmas.

Sokol Olldashi himself did not have the support of Sali Berisha at that time, who had resigned as leader of the DP and the name he wanted to continue leading the party was Lulëzim Basha.
Today, there are few in the DP who remember him. Flamur Noka wrote a few lines about him: “ Whenever my memories get stuck, I start to imagine you exactly like this, with this imposing stance on the rostrum of the Parliament. You are summing up well for your political opponents and no matter how sharp your words are, they listen to you until the end, without interrupting. Your words were weighty and your wit was delightful. Today, 12 years without you. Much longing and full of memories. Sokol Olldashi left behind more than he lived. He left a great name. His name and memory are eternal .”
Xhelal Mziu, Leonard Olli and Luan Baçi have also written. However, as with every anniversary, Sali Berisha's reaction was missing. The latter has not mentioned Olldashi for a long time.
But if Olldashi were alive, would we have this situation in the DP today? The largest opposition party has become even worse. Berisha has turned the headquarters into a tool for his battle with justice. Also, the DP is suffering one defeat after another and no one is raising their voice. But if Olldashi were alive today, he would most likely be the first to raise his voice.
Those who know him closely say that Olldashi was very visionary and if he had been successful, the DP could be in power today. However, we do not know this, his dream was cut short by a tragic accident (possibly murder). /Pamphlet
