Over 80 bullets were fired in the Rinas assassination attempt.
Journalist Elton Qyno stated that at the time of the assassination attempt in Rinas, where Gilmando Dani and Muçi Shaljani were killed, there was no police presence, as they were at a meeting in Tirana.
Qyno says that even if there had been police, it would not have made any difference since the assassins' team was well-organized.
The journalist brought up the case of Artan Santos as an example, where the killer was armed with a pistol and the police were unable to make a single move.
" On the day the incident occurred, the Traffic Police officers were withdrawn to Tirana because there was a meeting and there were no police officers. But even if there had been, the team that appeared with that kind of weaponry and so much flash at that moment, I don't believe there would have been a problem, a police officer there."
We have the case of Santos, where the killer was armed with a pistol and the policeman did not even make a move. It was enough that the perpetrator pointed the pistol at him and then left. And not only did he not make any move, but he also did not continue to follow the motorcycle. Even in this case, if it had been a policeman, I do not believe that we would have had a reaction from the state police, because we had four people with four Kalashnikovs and that over 80 bullets were fired there, which was a crime scene that only turned the road yellow from those bronze shells. "- said Qyno.
