Socialist lawmaker Erion Braçe, who often does not spare criticism even for his own people, has clarified his statements and positions in public.
He said on the show 'This Week' on News24 that some ministers are just sitting around in office, while adding that he reacts in the best interests of the job.
When asked if this is a strategy to attract attention, one foot in the government and the other 'protesting', Braçe said: " Why shouldn't this be done! We are a government to fulfill the commitments we have made to the people, but we are also facing this government, to play the role of a mirror, and within the majority. A minister, who has those who vegetate, why not put himself in front of the mirror to tell him; come on, I'm sleeping. Come on, move. I would do it for myself and for the government. I have done it from time to time, and when I was deputy prime minister. There are people who don't think this. There are many things that are said behind your back. I was very concerned about a sentence that someone said to me in Divjaka, said by someone in power, currently and previously and maybe in the future, that; this person has not yet understood that he is in power, but behaves as if he is in opposition. But when things do not go well, I say it several times, in sessions in Parliament, in personal and work meetings, and when things don't move, I will say it publicly. Why shouldn't I say it publicly? Of course I will say it because I have an obligation to those people. Citizens don't want to know if you are doing well with your government, they don't want to know, they want solutions to the problems. The government should have its feet on the ground, not its wings in the air, When I see that the wings are in the air not to fly, but to escape reality. Someone should do this, so that we can fall with our feet on the ground , "he said.
Focusing on the ministers and government cabinets that are working and those that are vegetating, Braçe said: " Many things have been discussed in the Economy Committee. The actual budget for 2024 brings to attention the fact that there were 43 million lek, expenses that were not realized. At the end of September we are at 45 billion lek surplus and we have 62 billion lek unconsumed, without 1.1 billion euros unused. The budget for next year sets a record. When you do not use the money you have, you have it in the budget, you have collected it, you have not been efficient in carrying out the expenses for those people I am talking about. Ministers who do not materialize public money are asleep. When you do not use the money, it has been collected, it has been collected, the budget does not function only with one pillar, because you also need the expenditure pillar. So you take money to redistribute. If redistribution does not work, what are you doing as a minister for?
