Will SPAK 'strike' before May 11? Around 230 new proceedings against
When will SPAK strike?

SPAK exclusively reveals to "Pamphlet" data on criminal proceedings...

Trust in the Special Prosecution Office has increased significantly recently. Despite political attacks and blows, SPAK has increased its ability to target names that were considered untouchable until yesterday. Today, there are ministers, deputies, mayors, judges, lawyers, etc. in prison.

But it seems that the list will be even longer. SPAK has registered 227 new criminal proceedings for corruption offenses, as well as 101 proceedings for organized crime. Simply put, in the past year alone, 328 new files have been opened.

The data was provided by " Pamphlet ", through a request for information addressed to SPAK. It is also reported that there are 526 proceedings inherited from previous years.

" Regarding point 1, as of 01.01.2024, a total of 526 criminal proceedings were carried out, of which: 165 proceedings were registered for criminal offenses within the framework of organized crime, 61 were registered for criminal offenses of corruption and other offenses. For the period 01.01.2024-31.12.2024, a total of 328 proceedings were registered, of which: 101 for criminal offenses within the framework of organized crime, 227 for criminal offenses related to corruption and other offenses ", SPAK announces.

Meanwhile, the Special Prosecution Office announces that it has also implemented the Anti-Mafia Law. For 2024, 17 property proceedings have been registered under this law.

" Regarding point 2, SPAK, for the period 01.01.2024-31.12.2024, 17 property proceedings were registered within the framework of Law No. 10192, dated 03.12.2009 ," the letter to "Pamphlet" states.

Now the question that arises is when will SPAK strike, before or after the elections? The prosecution itself will have a special focus on electoral crime, but there have been accusations in the media that there are candidates on the party list who are currently under investigation by SPAK and this means that some may not be in the race on May 11 or may not enjoy their mandate if SPAK decides not to intervene now. / Pamphlet
