Will Shkëlzen Berisha be summoned to the trial for Gërdec? The court

Fatmir Mediun's trial for the explosion in Gërdec continues to drag on. Just as it was warned in the first session where Mediu came out with a request to call 90 witnesses, the delays have started.

Today, the next session was held to examine the demands of Mediu and SPAK on the witnesses that will be called in the process. But the session was postponed to October 3 after the lawyer of the victims' families, Dorjan Matlia, asked for a few days to familiarize himself with the materials and the list of witnesses submitted by the defense. Defense lawyers stuck to the list of 90 witnesses, including foreign military and political figures.

Prosecutor Arben Kraja spoke out against these names, as according to him, Mediu is accused of a concrete criminal fact and not of the dismantling process. The lawyer of the victims requested that the former head of the municipality of Vora, Fiqiri Ismaili, also appear as a witness. And the lawyer was in the same line with SPAK about the foreign personalities who, according to him, would drag out the process. The court is expected to express in the next session about the list of witnesses.

The media asked names like Aldo Bumçi, Mimi Kodheli, Pandeli Majko, etc. to testify. While SPAK has asked Berisha's son, Shkëlzen Berisha, to testify, as well as some soldiers of that time who have knowledge of the explosion. One of the names is Luan Hoxha. It is enough for the latter to testify and the medium sinks, Shkëlzeni and all the others. On October 3, the judge will decide which witnesses she will accept.
