Analyst Neritan Sejamini has spoken about the change in the attitude of the US towards the MEK, an organization that takes shelter in our country, which they no longer consider a democratic opposition and representative of the people of Iran.
Sejamini said that the changed attitude of the USA also explains the action of the Albanian Police in the Manza camp, with the argument that cyber attacks and political activity against Iran were carried out from there.
According to the analyst, the stance is likely to be related to important geopolitical and economic changes and that the US wanted to give a signal to Iran that they no longer want regime change and that a diplomatic rather than hostile approach can be attempted.
"There is no way that the police did it without getting permission from America. This action has a great value to show Iran that something has changed, to show that the goal is not to topple the regime. In recent weeks, Iran decided relations with Egypt, two adversaries. A few days ago Iran-Saudi Arabia relations were settled. This agreement was negotiated by China. It is an extraordinary international event.
There has been a discussion for several months that China, which is the main buyer of Saudi oil, should price Saudi oil in yuan rather than dollars. Arabia is negotiating with China to sell oil in yuan. International oil trade is done in dollars. If this starts, some of the US sanctions lose value. If Saudi Arabia and China do so, the value of the deal increases if another oil producer does it in yuan. Russia is also interested in becoming in yuan.
So these developments have changed a big thing, the role and weight of the USA has decreased in this region. A situation is being created where Iran is finding support from China and other actors. In this game, apparently, America will tell Iran that we have changed the situation, let's try diplomacy.
