Former Prosecutor Ervin Karanxha has commented on Prime Minister Edi Rama's reaction regarding the arrest of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, on the orders of SPAK.
According to him, Prime Minister Rama provided political protection to Erion Veliaj, while he considers the anonymous denunciation as "Jovan Bregu's letter".
Invited to the Open show, Karanxha stated that "Rama is showing that he is not Jovan Bregu, but someone else within the SP.
" This security measure is a SPAK practice. It is not that this measure was assigned only to Veliaj. The former president of the republic was also assigned this measure and the implementation of the measure was shameful and they caught the president and threw him to the ground. Even the opposition leader was left under house arrest. Veliaj's measure is fixed with this practice. So it is the same for everyone.
"Rama has made a political defense for Veliaj because the accusation against Veliaj came from an anonymous letter, which I have called Jovan Bregu's letter. Rama is showing that it is not me, Jovan Bregu, but someone else within the SP ," he said.
