If, on the one hand, we raise our voices to empower women economically so that they do not fall prey to violence, in Albania women bear the greatest burden of work and child care, being counted as unpaid work.
This has also resulted from an audit of the High Control of the state where municipalities and administrative units such as Vlora, Kavaja, Gjirokastra, Pogradeci do not have nurseries and kindergartens in relation to the number of the population, while in the villages they do not have nurseries or public transport.
The high control of the state has audited 13 municipalities in the country, from which it turns out that not all of them have offices where women can go to look for work.
This audit showed that the employment programs for the period 2020-2023 do not focus on women, and even more so on those in rural areas. The high control of the state has recommended for the National Employment Agency to identify women in rural areas who want to be employed by September of this year.
