Analyst Ergys Mërtiri has stated that Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha does not have Prime Minister Edi Rama as his competitor, but former MP Ervin Salianji and the small opposition parties.
Mwrtiri described Berisha as an old 'scumbag', which according to him is the reason why voters are turning away from the DP.
Mërtiri also said that Berisha survives politically through the language of anger that he has injected into his followers.
"The opposition, disappointed to a large extent, does not go out to vote. Berisha fights the new parties in order to divide this gray electorate, disappointed with him. He left some at home, some went to vote for the new parties, and he attracted some to himself, after being disappointed with the new, they went to the old. Thus, he gave more votes to Edi Rama, but maintained exclusivity over the opposition. Because Berisha does not fight to defeat Rama, but fights to maintain exclusivity over the opposition.
I think that if Lapaj joins Berisha, the opposition as a whole will lose people in the square. I see such a union as unnecessary, because when this union is not done before the elections, how can it be done after the elections? This should have been done before the elections, but Berisha ruined this because he fought the small parties, after choosing an electoral code that would artificially increase Rama and prevent these from increasing. Berisha's enemies are Lapaj, Shehaj and Qori. Because Berisha does not have a rival Rama. Berisha wants to put these as small ones under his own armpit. These should unite with each other, but not with the old gang from which voters are fleeing.
Berisha today is a politician who lives thanks to the anger he has injected into his followers. He vents his anger on social networks and this factors him in. On the other hand, while he talks about large unions that will bring about an upheaval, he fights them and precisely fights Salianji. Salianji is Berisha's main problem. He attacks Salianji with theses and accusations as a sellout and collaborator with Rama, when the truth is that Berisha himself is a collaborator with Rama, " Mërtiri told "Report TV".

Edhe Salanji, edhe Lapaj, ai biznesmeni Shehaj qe kur i shkuan tek bizneset nderroi pllaken (se sigurisht i paguan punonjesit me oagen me te ulet minimale), te behen more bashke dhe ta mundin edhe Berishen edhe Ramen. Si po i pengon Berisha keta nuk i kuptoj? Rrace e poshter.
