The Director of Archives, Ardit Bido, commented on the developments related to the case of Fredi Beleri. In an interview for ABC News, Bido emphasized that Greece has brutally interfered in Albania's internal affairs and in matters of justice by threatening the release of the elected mayor of Himara.
According to Bido, with the arrest of Fredi Beleri, Greece's goal in Albanian land has been broken. According to him, the neighboring country, with the actions of the last few years, has tried to expand its influence in the south of Albania, aiming to place bilingual signs from Llogaraja to Konispol.
" It is a brutal intervention in the internal affairs of Albania and in matters of justice, which is a Euro-Atlantic project. But part of the scheme has been broken for Greece by this American-European justice. Here Greece is lighting the fuses for what it will try to do next year if 20 percent Greeks will appear in the census in the municipality of Himara and Konispoli, which will be Greece's next battle in the integration of Albania into the EU that the entire area of Saranda and Delvina to become bilingual with the help of not only the instruments of Greece in Albania but also many apathetic people in the central politics of Tirana who are ready to sell everything ", said Bido.
Bido says that Beleri has had great support from Greece and that the Greek state is using the influence it has in Albanian politics to achieve its goals.

In the last 4-5 years, what has happened in all the churches of the municipality of Himara, they have become a Greek language, including in only Albanian-speaking villages. A project has started where Fredi Beleri can grant Albanian citizenship, distribute numerous scholarships in Greek universities, help people with Greek letters and in the hospital of Ioannina. It is a political project, because only the state can grant citizenship and help Greek universities. It was established that Beleri was mayor. Beleri was elected as the chairman not only because of these things but also because of the influence that Greece has on the political scene in Tirana. It is the census that comes to us in December, that if more than 20 percent of the inhabitants of Himara were to declare themselves Greek, then according to our internal legislation the right would arise for the representatives of the minority to request bilingual signs from Qafë bota to Llogara, from Muzina to Saranda", he said, among other things.
