After heavy rainfall, which caused many problems on several national and rural road axes, the weather has changed, paving the way for snow.
During the night and this morning, the mountains were covered with snow at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level, accompanied by low temperatures.
There has also been snowfall in the mining areas, mainly in Zone D, Martanesh and Ternova, where miners work. Currently, there are no reports of any problems in the villages in the remote areas. Snowfall at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level has also been reported in Dibër and Mat.
The Korça region has also recorded the first snowfall today in mountainous areas, including Dardha, Vithkuq and Shtylla at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level.
According to information from the field, in Dardhe, the snow has started at Km 9, while contractors are working on road maintenance. Currently, the rainfall is light and vehicle traffic is moving normally, with no problems reported.
