Bad weather with snowfall and rain has engulfed Albania today. During the last hours, the situation has worsened, in some cities in the north and southeast. The thickness of the snow has reached up to 40-50 cm.
The municipality of Fushë-Arrëz has declared a state of emergency due to the heavy snowfall, announced the mayor Hil Curri.
The Civil Emergency Team of the municipality, he further underlines, is working with all sectors to deal with the situation.
Mayor Hil Curri announces that I will do my best to find you near the residents with all the Administrative Units, Iballe, Blerim, Fierze, Qafë-Mali.
"We are coordinating the work with the National Civil Emergencies to deal with the situation," announced the mayor.

Several vehicles have been blocked on the Arbri road, the segment from Vasha bridge to Qafa e Bualli after trying to drive without chains.
Under these conditions, the Traffic Police was forced to completely block traffic on Rruga e Arbri and traffic has been diverted to the old axis that passes through Shkopeti.
The entire district of Dibra has been covered by intense snowfall, so it is recommended to use chains on the axes Peshkopi-Maqellarë-Bulqizë and Peshkopi-Kala e Doda - Kukës.
On the Korçë-Bilisht national axis near the village of Cangonj, a taxi went off the road due to the frost and ended up in the canal. As a result, two passengers are injured. The roads of the Korça district are passable, including Qafë-Thana, but drivers are advised to use chains in their cars.
In Kukës, the thickness of the snow ranges from 15 to 30 cm. The mountain villages of Topojan, Zapod, Gryke Chaj and Arren are isolated by snow and there is a lack of electricity. While the national roads are passable with chains, like Kukës-Krumë, Shishtavec, Bushtrice. On Rruga e Kombit, the contracting company is working to keep it open with snowplows even though the rains are intense. In the segment from the Kalimash tunnel to Fan, traffic is difficult.
Even in the region of Shkodra, the snowfall is intense this Saturday. The Bogë-Qafë Thore axis has been blocked, thus the tourist village of Theth has remained isolated. While the road of Vermoshi is crossed with chains.
Likewise, Puka presents difficulties, where the snow has been falling non-stop for several hours. The national road Pukë - Fushë Arrëz - Mirdië is passable with chains.
In Mirdita, the thickness of the snow reaches 25 cm, where some mountain villages in Selita and Orosh are in isolation. There is also a lack of electricity.
The strong wind has made it difficult to move on the Lezhë-Milot national road, where as a result a truck overturned on the side of the bridge, fortunately without any consequences for people.
