The European Union Rule of Law Mission in Albania (EUDEL) has reacted with shock to the murder of the judge of the Court of Appeal, Astrit Kalaja, and the injury of two other citizens.
EUDEL strongly condemns the criminal event and expresses its deepest condolences to the family of the late Kalaja.
This tragic case highlights the urgent need to increase the security of judges and prosecutors in Albania, as well as to take immediate measures to guarantee security in court premises.
