He was treacherously murdered inside the courthouse, who is Astrit Kalaja; the

A serious incident shook the Albanian state today. A judge was killed while performing his duties, while two others were injured. Astrit Kalaja was a judge with long experience.

He was born in Shkodra and graduated in 1993 from the Faculty of Law. As soon as he finished his studies with the title of "Jurist", he was appointed to the position of judge in the Shkodra district. For the last seven years, he served as a member of the Court of Appeal. He successfully passed the vetting process at both levels of the judiciary, both in the KPK and the KPA.

•20.03.2019 - 01.02.2023 - Deputy President of the Shkodra Court of Appeal.

• 11.06.2004 - 01.02.2023 - Judge at the Shkodra Court of Appeal.

• 24.11.1993-11.06.2004 - Judge at the Shkodra Judicial District Court.

EDUCATION

• 2011 - Second Level Master in Civil Legal Sciences.

• 26.06.1990 - 4-year cycle, University of Tirana.
