The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, defended the maritime agreement signed in 2009 with the Greek side, which was later overturned by the Constitutional Court.
Berisha emphasized to a Greek media outlet that it was a good agreement that should not have been lost. He holds Edi Rama responsible for the failure to reach an agreement and exonerates the Greek side.
Renowned lawyer Romeo Kara, invited to "Ora e Fundit" on ABC News, said that Sali Berisha aims to destabilize the country to escape from the troubles he has with justice. According to him, Berisha aims to seize power and sell the country.
"For me, the naked king has finally emerged, after the 2013 elections, one of the cards that lost the elections was this. It is high treason to the homeland. We have said that this person will destabilize the country for the trouble he is in. Now that the card of his life, of his family, is being played, he promises to undo SPAK. This great patriot has not mentioned Chameria at all. Getting old and getting black and becoming a burden for Albania. These people want power to rob and sell Albania. Berisha the third openly vows that he will take power to sell Albania and we remain calm", he said.
He focused on the arrival of Chris LaCivita, who has been hired by the Democratic Party as a campaign strategist for the May 11 elections. According to the lawyer, LaCivita is being used by the DP leader, while adding that Berisha will have problems with the law regarding the financing of the electoral strategist.
"This is a person [Chris LaCicita] who comes and gives experience. He takes him as a person who is close to Trump and will use him. We will see who financed him. Next month I will be in America and I will come with accurate news about this. Berisha will have problems with the law only with LaCicita's financing. Transparency and Berisha are two things in opposite directions, Berisha is trying to hide one dirt with another", said lawyer Kara.
