A violent incident was recorded in Reç prison, where two detainees used violence against a Prison Police employee.
According to the official announcement of the General Directorate of Prisons, the detainees with the initials A.Gj and FD have violently opposed authority and damaged property, destroying equipment within the institution's premises.
Authorities say the response was immediate, with management structures going to the scene to closely monitor the management of the situation. Security forces intervened and neutralized the danger.
The injured employee has received medical assistance and is out of danger.
Immediate disciplinary and legal measures have been taken against the two detainees. They have been placed in a special isolation regime for a period of 3 months, while criminal proceedings have been initiated against them for several criminal offenses, in cooperation with the Internal Prison Control Service. It has also been decided to transfer them to a high-security institution.
The Directorate of Prisons emphasizes that any act of violence against Prison Police employees is unacceptable and will face maximum punishment according to the law, guaranteeing that it remains committed to maintaining order and security in penitentiary institutions.
