The Fier Prosecutor's Office has registered criminal proceedings for the fire that occurred a few days ago in a shopping center in Lushnje. Due to the flames, many businesses and apartments were damaged, therefore the prosecution has registered the proceedings for the criminal offense "Destruction of property by fire". So far, there is no conclusion as to what was the cause of the fire. Prokuroi informs that it is investigating this aspect.
Notice of the prosecution
The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Fier General Jurisdiction informs the public that for the incident that occurred in the "Metropol Center" shopping center, "Liberation" neighborhood, Lushnjë, it has registered criminal proceedings no. 1846/2023, for the criminal offense "Destruction of property by fire", provided by article 151 of the Criminal Code.
The ready prosecutor immediately went to the scene where the first investigative actions were carried out.
An investigative group consisting of experts from various fields and a group of judicial police officers under the direction of the Prosecutor has been set up. The investigations are being carried out in full cooperation with the judicial police services of the State Police. With the administration of procedural acts and expert acts, a conclusion will be drawn on the cause of the fire and the initial hearth.
The Fier Prosecutor's Office is fully committed to unraveling the causes of this event with significant consequences for the property, health and safety of citizens.
