The Director of the Department for Public Order and Security, Rebani Jaupi, has spoken about the fact that his name appears in Sky Ecc, within the "Metamorphosis" folder.
Jaupi said that his name is mentioned in Sky Ecc by third parties. According to him, Albania is a small country where people know each other. Jaupi added that he has never had a conversation in his life with any person from the world of crime, except with colleagues, with whom he worked.
" I cannot say that there is no connection between the police and crime. This happens even in developed countries. Criminal groups want to have a voice in the police. When there have been cases of cooperation between the police and crime, we have taken measures. Collaborators with crime in the police must be brought to justice. Vetting continues in the police. Anyone who cooperated with the crime will one day be brought to justice. When my name is mentioned on Sky Ecc I get worried. I say with my moral responsibility that I have never had an Encro Chat phone in my life. I did my job responsibly. I have not had any conversation with any underworld person. Of course, people can talk to third parties, we are a small country, we all know each other, but I have never communicated with people from the underworld. Even in SPAK I gave all the clarifications ", said Jaupi.
