Arenc Hasalla, the brother of the late Lirida Hasalla, who lost her life after a plastic surgery at American Hospital 2, has told how the doctors put his sister into surgery even though the latter was suffering from cancer.
He says that the doctors told his sister that there was no risk if she underwent this surgical intervention, for which 4 thousand euros were paid, according to the family members. He says that the sister was not known to have entered the operation at all as her body could not handle the anesthesia, given that she had been suffering from cancer for 2 years. He says that his sister was also forbidden to have her teeth removed or to take antibiotics because she was suffering from uterine cancer. According to family members, the tumor has spread to 75% of his body.
"The deceased's name was Lirida Hasalli, 28 years old. He was suffering from cancer and was being treated in Belgium. He comes to Albania to visit the American, to have an operation to remove a few pounds. She should not have been operated at all according to the doctors because it is not allowed. Looking at the card he has, they should not allow him at all. It had been 2 years since he was cured. There were improvements recently, the disease is such that it does not allow me any kind of action, neither tooth extraction, nor antibiotics, nothing. She went of her own accord, perhaps because there are days when it could be very dangerous. Doctors have told him that there is no danger. She shouldn't have been operated on at all, the body with cancer does not accept narcosis at all ," said Hasalla.
He further says that after coming out of surgery, the next morning his sister asked to go to the toilet. Here he was not helped even by the nurses of the American hospital 2, and he was taken on foot to go to the hospital. At this moment, the young woman fell to the ground and suffered a thrombosis, then she was sent to resuscitation, but unfortunately she later died.
"He was admitted from 14:30-15:30 on Monday. He was under the supervision of doctors. The next day he woke up. At 10:00 he wanted to go to the toilet, one of the nurses told him to go on his own. The moment he got up he collapsed, had a stroke. I have family members who accompanied him. Then he was put in the intensive care unit, unconscious, 96 hours. It was over. American Hospital 2 did not have the conditions. The doctor should not have taken over a case of When you see such a card that has cancer, you should not have accepted it at all" , says Hasalla for "Report TV".
