The new head of the General Directorate of Taxes is appointed

Ilir Binaj will be the director of the General Directorate of Taxes. The Council of Ministers took the decision today to appoint him as head of the Directorate of Taxes.  

The position of head of Taxes was held by Elidjana Celaj, who was a commanding director, after the resignation of Ceno Klos in June of this year.

Decisions approved at the meeting of the Council of Ministers, dated October 2, 2024: Decision on the appointment of the general director of taxes: In support of Article 100 of the Constitution and Point 2, Article 17, of Law No. 9920, dated 19.5. 2008, "On tax procedures in the Republic of Albania", amended, with the proposal of the Minister of Finance, Council of Ministers

Decided: 1. Mr. Ilir Binaj is appointed General Director of Taxes. 2. The Ministry of Finance and the General Directorate of Taxes are charged with the implementation of this decision.

This decision takes effect immediately!
