The Supreme Court's decision not to accept the appeal of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, who had requested that he be granted the right to appear in Parliament as a deputy, was the subject of discussion this Thursday on "Now with Erla Mëhillin".
According to the head of Nisma Thurje, Endri Shabani, the issue should no longer be whether the mandate of deputy Sali Berisha will be removed or not, as according to him, the former prime minister will not be able to exercise his function as long as he is under investigation. For this reason, Shabani said that his mandate as a deputy cannot remain "hostage" to Berisha.
Lawyer Ylli Manjani described Shabani's statement as a dangerous theory, which caused a heated debate in the studio where the former minister accused Shabani of being a fascist.

Endri Shabani: This is a political leader who has problems with justice and bears political responsibility. This man will not be able to exercise the right to represent his own voters for 6 months, a year. The point here is not whether they will take away his mandate, but does it make more sense for him to hold hostage a mandate that he cannot use.

You are in great trouble for the rights of Sali Berisha, meanwhile the voters have dragged them away.
Ylli Manjani: But why did you cut your belly for them? You are a thief, your theory serves thieves.
Endri Shabani: Please, since you were a minister, you cannot call me a thief. You have served thieves as a minister.
Ylli Manjani: I served them and I serve them. Your theory is fascist. Service takes work. A person goes to work, works.
